Our steel look internal doors are made from aluminium, which gives you the slim black frames and grid patterns of traditional steel glazing in a material that is lighter, stronger for its weight and won't rust.
Origin internal doors have glass divide sightlines of just 30mm and come in more than 150 colours, while Aluco doors are hand-finished to order in black, grey or any RAL colour.
Both work as single doors, French doors, fixed screens or room dividers, so you can open up a space without losing the separation between rooms.
Building Regulations require safety glass in internal glass doors and in glazed screens close to floor level, which in practice means toughened or laminated glass that is designed to break safely.
We specify toughened safety glass where the regulations call for it, and you can still choose clear, reeded, obscured, privacy or decorative glass on top of that. This lets you get the light and style you want without any compromise on safety, which matters most in busy family homes.
Internal glass partitions let some sound through, but good-quality glazing gives effective sound reduction, which is why they work well for home offices and for separating a kitchen from a living space.
